Overview

Qinâ Îchyæ was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1395, by Gadsînka Tsmeshê Shëka. The establishment of Qinâ Îchyæ was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Gadsînka Tsmeshê Shëka struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Qinâ Îchyæ as a prison colony.

Qinâ Îchyæ was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qinâ Îchyæ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Qinâ Îchyæ is is constructed arround a semi-circular broad packed earth mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.

Even the most brief look arround Qinâ Îchyæ has a good chance of putting a church or shrine into the center of your view. The town is most certainly a god fearing community. It’s also definitely a god loving community. THe streetcornors are occupied by preachers, with the occasional intersection playing host to an actually friendly debate relating to the merits of various gods. Even the less popular as well as the less politically loved gods seem to have a space in Qinâ Îchyæ, there’s even shrines to gods known to the region only through hearsay.

Civic Infrastructure

Qinâ Îchyæ has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Qinâ Îchyæ.

Qinâ Îchyæ has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Qinâ Îchyæ has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Qinâ Îchyæ has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Qinâ Îchyæ's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Qinâ Îchyæ possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Qinâ Îchyæ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Qinâ Îchyæ has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Qinâ Îchyæ's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is recurring in Qinâ Îchyæ.

The Polevik near Qinâ Îchyæ are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Qinâ Îchyæ's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Charm energies of tier 1 via divine sermons.

It may be the community has suffered at their enemy's hands, or they may have been the ones applying the suffering. Constant low-level skirmishes and trouble making go on between the two.
